Following is some pertinent information about the Wyoming Junior Rodeo Association, Inc. Our organization has been active for more than 20 years with rodeos all over the state of Wyoming.  We welcome members and participants from surrounding states, as well.
Age divisions and events for the divisions are:

JUNIOR GIRL -- 7 - 10 YEARS - AGE

SENIOR GIRL -- 11 - 15 YEARS  - AGE ON SEPTEMBER 1ST

ARREL RACING, POLE BENDING, GOAT TYING, BREAKAWAY ROPING, TEAM ROPING
JUNIOR BOY -- 7 - 10 YEARS - AGE
ON SEPTEMBER 1ST
SENIOR BOY -- 11 - 15 YEARS - AGE ON SEPTEMBER 1ST

(GOAT TYING OR CALF TYING - depending on which one the host rodeo offers), BREAKAWAY ROPING, TEAM ROPING, STEER/Bull RIDING

All contestants are required to wear western attire including western boots (not "sport-type" shoes or boots), hats, etc.  Note that contestants may be disqualified for the use of profanity in and around the contesting area.  These are detailed along with the points system, payoff, and other pertinent information in the rulebook.  

Membership Dues are Single $21.00 Family $31.00 must be in by March 31st or late fee must be added of additional $15.00 for Single and $25.00 for Family.
Entries for rodeos are taken on the Monday preceding the rodeo from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
If you enter and are a no show you will need to pay $20 to that host rodeo before you can enter the next rodeo.

WINTER FINALS.  Rules are the same as the Summer finals the only exception is that you only have to go to three winter rodeos to be able to qualify for the Winter finals. The first day of winter finals counts towards your 1 rodeo.

SUMMER FINALS.   The number to call for entries of each rodeo will be listed in the WRANGLER.  (You will receive a subscription to the WRANGLER with your membership .) You must compete in 5 summer rodeos prior to summer finals to be eligible to compete at summer finals.

Contestant jackets are given, at summer finals. You must sell seven WJRA money calendars or get a $105 donation. All members are required to sell the money calendars or get a donation of $105.
